Private James Forkan born in 1894 and was from Kiltimagh, Ireland. He immigrated to Montana and served in the US Army during the First World War in the 341st Infantry Regiment, 86th ("Blackhawk") Infantry Division in France during WWI. He died in service in France in October 1918.
In 2013, a US Military Gravestone was added to his family plot in Ireland.
