38th Cavalry Squadron Town Liberation Plaque
Details:
On the front of the cultural center at the second floor level.
A marble plaque with raised bronze lettering and a brass symbol of the US Army.
The plaque remembers the 38th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron (Mechanized), of the 102nd Cavalry Group, V Corps of the 3rd US Army. The 38th Cavalry liberated the town of Přeštice on May 6, 1945 and was subsequently stationed in the town until August 1945.
