On the west side of the intersection.
A white, headstone-style stone marker containing commemoration messages for 2Lt Wilhelm and 3 residents who were Nazi victims. The side on which the commemoration message is engraved is facing the road. 2Lt Wilhelm’s (511th Fighter Squadron, 405th Fighter Group) plane crashed in this area during an armed reconnaissance mission on September 1, 1944.
