A static display of a recovered B-25 from WW2.
The B-25 was known as "Feather Merchant", "Irene", and "Miss Priority" while flying for various units of the 5th US Air Force in the Pacific (13th and 90th Bomber Squadron of the 3rd Bomber Group; and the 499th Bomber Squadron "Bat Outta Hell" of the 345th Bomber Group "Air Apache").
The plane ended its wartime service and was recovered from nearby Tadji Airfield. Tadji Airfield was initially an enemy airfield but was captured by US Forces during the New Guinea Campaign - Battles of Aitape and the Driniumor River (6th Army, 32nd and 41st Infantry Divisions) in April/May 1944.
