A rectangular black plaque honoring the 29th Infantry Division for liberating the town. It features the division’s emblem and is inscribed in French. The liberation of Sainte-Marguerite-d'Elle occurred on June 10, 1944, when the 115th Infantry Regiment of the 29th Infantry Division took control of the town after intense fighting.
