Positioned on the wall at the other end of the hanging bridge. The bridge is located approximately 20 meters southwest of the tower at coordinates 15.347610, 120.543376.

A rectangular black plaque bearing a commemorative message honors the courage of the USAFFE, who, despite suffering from severe illness, risked their lives to fetch water for their fellow prisoners during their captivity following the Bataan Death March.

IN MEMORIAM

 

To the memory of a special breed of USAFFE Prisoners who,

despite suffering from severe illness, volunteered to fetch water

from this ''watering hole'' to quench the thirst of comrades

dying of dehydration, starvation and disease.

We, survivors of their invaluable sacrifice, gratefully offer

this flower garden to their everlasting memory.
