B-17 (43-38272) 'Thumper' & B-17 (43-38178) 'Seattle Sue' Crash Memorial
Details:
In the center of the park. Monument
A stone base with an inscribed marble plaque and decorative stone on the top.
The memorial remembers two B-17s of the 525th Bomber Squadron of the 379th Bomber Group that crashed here after a mission on April 25, 1945. Nine crewmen between the two planes were killed in action and are listed on the memorial.
