Isolated Burial

A standard upright US Military white inscribed gravestone.

The Isolated Burial of Corporal Martin J. Foy who died of wounds received while serving in Company B of the 55th Engineer Regiment (Railway Construction) in France during WW1.  Foy immigrated to the US in 1913 aboard the US Olympic and joined the US Army in 1917.  He died in Camp Hospital 61, Poitiers, France and his remains returned to Ireland in 1922 on the SS Millwater.
