Plaque

A metal tablet plaque marks the former residence of Benjamin Franklin at this historic site in London, where he lived from 1757 to 1775 while serving as a representative of the American colonies to the British government. During his stay, he worked to ease colonial tensions, became influential in both political and scientific communities, and returned to America in 1775 after a public dismissal, joining the revolutionary cause.
