An upright weathered standard US military gravestone.
 
The Isolated Burial (ISOB) of Private John O'Dowd an Irish-American born near Dingle in Ireland in 1888 who immigrated to the US about 1911.  He served in the 148th Infantry Regiment, 37th Infantry Division in World War 1.  He was killed in action on September 27, 1918 during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive in France.
