Dans ce modeste refuge et alentour séjourna au cours de
lété 1944, lHôpital Départemental des Forces Françaises
de lIntérieur qui, sous la direction de son médecin chef le
docteur Robert TISSOT couvert par un groupe de protection
maquisard, aidé par 11 hommes dun équipage de lU.S. Air
Force, dû se replier sous la pression des Alpenjager de la
157ème Division Alpine Bavaroise.
Après larrêt brutal de lavance allemande par le groupe mobile
n°4 du maquis de lOisans à la bataille des Grandes Rousses le
14 août 1944, la totalité des personnels et blessés de lHôpital
purent regagner Grenoble libéré.
ENGLISH TRANSLATION:
In this modest refuge and its surroundings, during the
summer of 1944, the Departmental Hospital of the French Forces
of the Interior stayed here, under the direction of its chief physician,
Dr. Robert TISSOT, covered by a group of Maquisard protectors,
assisted by 11 men from a U.S. Air Force crew who had to retreat under pressure from the Alpenjager of the
157th Bavarian Alpine Division.
After the German advance was abruptly halted by Mobile Group
No. 4 of the Oisans maquis at the Battle of Grandes Rousses on
August 14, 1944, all of the hospital staff and wounded were able to return to Grenoble freely.
