Cenotaph

An inscription on the Australian War Memorial which remembers the dead of WW1 and WW2.

Corporal Lisle Bertram Dinniss Colls Service number, 643 served in the 6th Battalion of the  Australian Infantry.  He was killed in action on April 25, 1915 during the Battle of Gallipoli.  He was a native of Sand Hill, Sandusky, Ohio.  He is also remembered on the Lone Pine Memorial & Cemetery in Turkey and on the Wisbech Old Bartonians War Memorial in the UK.
