SHARE HISTORY AND MEMORY IN TOTAL FREEDOM
The men of the 9th Airborne left their imprints here in Picauville due to the numerous gliders and C-47 planes that crashed in the surrounding meadows as well as the construction of one of three airfields which were built in this sector. Picauville, its also about the destruction of a village by the Allied bombings.
The accounts that you are about to hear will show on one hand, the technical feats and on the other hand, the grief of a villages destruction.
