Private Kenneth Shadrick Memorial -34th Infantry Regiment

On the opposite side of Highway 1 from the Task Force Smith Memorial. Marker


A small stone stele marking the site where Private Kenneth Shadrick died from machine gun fire while engaging a North Korean tank with a bazooka.  Shadrick is considered among the first American casualties of the Korean War.  He served in the 34th Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division.
