Marker

A freestanding interpretive marker mounted on a single metal post, featuring a historic photograph of the Texas flag flying over the Wehrtor (town gate) in Bad Berka, Germany, after its liberation by U.S. forces on 22 March 1945. The marker includes bilingual German and English text describing the connection between Bad Berka and the U.S. 36th Infantry Division, particularly the 142nd Infantry Regiment, which participated in the town's liberation.
