Next to the Blackhawk Aircrew Monument.

The monument comprises an upright marble stone topped by an engraving of the 12th Combat Aviation Brigade shoulder patch, and includes an inscription remembering the AH-64D Apache helicopter crew members who died during operations over Afghanistan in 2012.

On 28 May 2012, a US Army AH-64D Apache (05-07012, aircrew callsign ASSASSIN-19) from the 12^th Combat Aviation Brigade, based in Ansbach-Katterbach, Germany, crashed in Wardak Province, eastern Afghanistan, during a routine patrol. Both crew members died of wounds sustained in the crash.
