The Berlin Brigade was a US Army brigade-sized unit based in West Berlin during the Cold War. After World War II, under the terms of the Yalta and Potsdam agreements, the Allied forces from the U.S., the United Kingdom, France, and the Soviet Union (later the Russian Federation) occupied sectors of Berlin. Under the treaties that enabled the reunification of Germany, all non-German military forces were required to leave Berlin. The Berlin Brigade was officially inactivated by President Bill Clinton on 6 July 1994.
