The memorial remembers Corporal Roland Morin the Ball Turret Gunner on B-24 'Tenmenbak' (42-51324) of the 764th Bomber Squadron, 461st Bomber Group (Heavy), 15th Air Force that was shot down near here on December 17, 1944 while on a mission to bomb oil refineries in Odental, Germany. Cpl Morin was the only crewman kiiled in action.
A memorial remembers the entire crew and it is located at Site Trencianske Teplice - Omsenie, B-24 'Tenmenbak' (42-51324) Crash Memorial -461st Bomber Group.
