Plaque

A rectangular marble plaque, inscribed in French, commemorates the liberation of Aix-en-Provence on August 21, 1944, by the U.S. 3rd Infantry Division, with the participation of the French Forces of the Interior and local Aix resistance fighters. The plaque was inaugurated on July 19, 2004.
