The borne is located directly behind the hotel facing the building from a clearing at the edge of the hillside.

The memorial is a borne taken from the Voie de la Liberté (Liberty Road), a series of identical markers which commemorate the 1,146 km route taken by Allied forces during WWII from Utah Beach, France to Bastogne, Belgium.
