This plaque can be found in the center of a small village square partially surrounded by hedgerow, on the left side of Rue de la Gare as you approach from the Sauer river bridge.
Monument


The plaque is diamond shaped (Symbol of the 5th Infantry Division) and attached to a large stone approximately 4.5ft (1.4m) high.  The plaque honors the 10th Infantry Regiment of the 5th Infantry Division.

The memorial members the 10th Infantry Regiment of the 5th "Red Diamond" Infantry Division who liberated the town of Bettendorf and the Sauer River crossing.
