A Sherman tank, model M4A3, used in combat in the Clervaux region, which sits on a stone base. In front of the tank is a plaque dedicated to the 2nd Tank Battalion of the 9th Armored Division in honor of their defense of the city. 

Several information signs place the tank and the unit in the contact of the Battle of the Bulge.  

The tank was placed here in 2024 moved from the upper castle area.

The plaque reads:


This U.S. Sherman M4A3 (76) of Company B, 2nd Tank Battalion, 9th Armored Division, is the only known surviving combat vehicle of the division. Put out of action on December 17th, 1944 while defending Clervaux here at the gate to the castle.
