Details:

In the parking lot by some trees. Combat Vehicle An M4A1 Sherman Tank named "AMBOY" on a stone pedestal with a bronze plaque at the front.  The town was almost totally destroyed in the war.  The monument was erected by a Belgian Army Cavalry Regiment in 2004 in commemoration of the 60th Anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge/

Monument Text:

In honor of the gallant soldiers

of the 2nd and 3rd US Armored Divisions

who liberated our town and its villages

in January 1945 during the Battle of the Bulge.

 

M4A1 Sherman Tank (76mm gun),

restored and put in position by the Belgian

"1/3 Regiment de Lanciers" (Cavalry Regiment)
