Details:

This M2 Half-Track is located in the room called "Les Alliés Seconde Guerre mondiale" (The Allies during the Second World War) in the back of the museum.  Combat Vehicle The M2 entered service in 1941, specifically in the Philippine Islands. The Half-Track could transport 10 soldiers and featured a .50cal machine gun. Long before M2's began rolling out of factories several French companies, including Citroën, developed similar vehicles, although they were meant for civilian purposes. Following the war, the M2 and similar models spread across the globe, particularly to U.S. allies in Latin America. 

Monument Text:

"The Half-Track was the workhouse of the American Army. 41000 half-tracked vehicles of this type were built in more than 100 different countries. 48 vehicles of this type were built by the French air force for the close defense of the aerial bases in India-China."
