Donald A. Tracy Plaque

Details:

This commemorative plaque is located just across the street from the Camaret-sur-Aigue church. On the west side of the church (Rue de l'Église), there is a small pedestrian area with benches and trees. The monument can be found in the northeast corner of this area, just off of Rue des Anciens Combattants, at the height of a typical street sign.

This blue rectangular plaque features a picture of Lt. Tracy in the center surrounded by depictions of the American and French flags, his decorations, the Army Air Force Aviator Badge (top-center), the town seal of Cabaret-sur-Aigue (left-middle), the 49th Fighter Squadron insignia (right-middle), the 15th U.S. Army Air Force insignia (bottom-left), his Snookie II fighter jet (bottom-center), and the 14th Fighter Group insignia (bottom-right).
