Stavelot Liberation Plaque

This plaque is located on the northernmost end of the wall that holds the town war memorial as well as the other memorials dedicated to American military units. Plaque This black, painted glass plaque features the names of the units that participated in both the liberation of Stavelot as well as those who fought during the Battle of the Ardennes. Overall, the plaque shows the names and insignia of 11 American units and one Belgian unit.
