History Museum (Museo Storico) - Piana delle Orme

A large museum located within an outdoor park.
A history museum dedicated to the culture of the local area. The museum contains 8 large pavilion structures with life-like dioramas. These pavilions include dioramas dedicated to the Battle of Cassino; the Anzio/Nettuno Landings; and the deportation of Italian citizens. The dioramas are built around original WW2 German, British, US and Italian equipment. The museum is very well maintained and several of the scenes are well documented events. The history museum is located within a large park that includes a picnic area, gift store and restaurant.
