On the left of the gate of the first building on the east side of the road. The plaque is placed below the “AVENUE DE LA LIBERATION” sign. Plaque A blue metal plaque, inscribed in white, French and English text. The American flag and 3rd Infantry Division insignia are also printed. The plaque commemorates the town liberation on August 26, 1944 by the 3rd Infantry US Division.
