Details:

Monument located in park just in front of Fondation Pescatore in Luxembourg city. Plaque Polished stone monument with several plaques to commemorate the Battle of the Bulge and the units that participated. Inscribed on the stone is: WWII The Battle of the Bulge 16 Dec. 1944 - 25 Jan 1945, with a large emblem of the Veterans of the Battle of the Bulge.

The Battle of the Bulge
16 Dec. 1944 - 25 Jan 1945

The plaque on the side of the monument reads:
The gallant soldiers that fought in these illustrious units participated, endured and died in the greatest land battle ever fought and won by the United States Army.

The courage and determination displayed by these soldiers turned the enemy advances and saved what Winston Churchill later proclaimed the most important battle of W.W. II when confronted by overwhelming enemy forces under the most trying of circumstances.
