“Thank you Boys” Memorial- Dily
Details:
On the roadside of a forest road.
A large stone with a brass inscribed plaque attached to the front. The memorial also includes a wooden structure filled with pieces of military equipment that was destroyed in an attack while liberating the village. An information panel is nearby.
On April 29, 1945 American recon units arrived near this location and were attacked by enemy forces. Four US Soldiers fell here on April 29, 1945. Díly was liberated on May 1, 1945

životy při osvobozování obce Díly
dne 1. května 1945, vděční občané.
