Details:

Affixed on the west side of the gate’s arch, placed below the Mornas liberation plaque.

Plaque A rectangular plaque inscribed in French and English text with gold-leaf lettering. The plaque commemorates the 3^rd US Infantry Division for liberating the town of Mornas from German forces on August 26, 1944. Mornas was liberated together with Avignon, Mondragon, and Bollčne on that day.
