Affixed on the plinth of the war memorial monument on the north side of the parking lot.


Plaque

A blue rectangular plaque with white border, inscribed in French and English text commemorating the town's liberation on August 25, 1944. Printed in colors on the top are the 3rd Division crest, US flag, and the 3rd Division insignia. The town of Carpentras was liberated by the 3rd US Infantry Division from the German forces.
