The American soldiers arrived in the Courtyard of the Benoit farm on August 27th 1944.

The command post is installed straight away.

The rooms of the house are used as the infirmary such as the dining room where a lot of injured persons got treated. After dinner, at the end of the day, Mass was celebrated on the farm by the American chaplain. The latter will offer his hymnbook. The next day they would leave toward the north.
