A standard upright US Military gray inscribed gravestone.


Private Daniel Harrington served in the 35th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division during the Korean War.  He was wounded by the enemy in South Korea on April 25, 1951 and returned to duty on May 14, 1951. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on June 6, 1951. 


Private Harrington was awarded the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster. 

 

He was born Ardnacluggan, Eyeries, County Cork, Ireland and entered service Brooklyn, New York.  He is buried in St. Finian's Cemetery (Foildarrig Upper), Castletown Bearhaven, County Cork, Ireland.
