A gray stone obelisk shaped inscribed monument about 8 feet tall; one side of the monument includes a map of the Rhine River crossing in March 1945.
The monument remembers the 179th Infantry Regiment “Tomahawks” of the 45th “Thunderbird” Infantry Division crossing of the Rhine River on March 26, 1945 as part of the US 7th Army attack to breech the river.
