An inscribed black marble plaque.

The plaque remembers the liberation of the town of Orglandes on June 17, 1944 by the 9^th “Old Reliables” Infantry Division (39^TH Infantry Regiment) and by the 90^th “Tough Ombres” Infantry Division  (359^th Infantry Regiment) in the wake of the Normandy landings.  

The plaque was dedicated during the 50^th anniversary of the event in June 1994.
