B-24 41-28626 'Thunderbird' Plaque
Details:
On the façade of the town hall.
A rectangular, black, metal plaque inscribed in French in raised lettering. The printed images are crossed flags of US and America on the left side of the plaque and on the right is an image of a B-24. The Thunderbird crashed 2 km northeast of the Danzé suffering mechanical problems. Fortunately, all crew members were able to evacuate the airplane but they were all taken as prisoners.
