Details:

On Consulate Grounds.  Likely off limits to the public without prior arrangement with the Consulate staff.  Plaque This plaque is a replica of the one originally dedicated on 4 November 1968 by Ambassador Ellsworth Bunker to commemorate the four US Army Military Policemen and one Marine Security Guard killed during the Viet Cong attack on 31 January 1968.  The original plaque was left behind in 1975 when Saigon fell and was last seen at the Revolutionary Museum on Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street sometime in the 1990s.  Diplomatic efforts to have the plaque returned remain unsuccessful and the current plaque was dedicated on 14 November 2002 at the new consulate.
