Next to "Le Roosevelt" Restaurant across from the museum. Plaque The captured bunker that the US Navy used as a communication center between June and October of 1944.  It lists 41 men that played in the success of the landing of the allied forces.

U.S. Naval Amphibious Forces

Dans ce bunker, enlevé à l'ennemi le 6 Juin 1944, le NOIC de l'US Navy installa son centre de communication du 8 Juin au 31 Octobre 1944.  Ce groupe de 41 hommes contribua à la réussite du débarquement de 836 000 hommes, 220 000 véhicules et 725 000 tonnes de matériel.


In this bunker, captured from the enemy on 6th June 1944, NOIC of US Navy established it communication center from 8th June to 31st October 1944.  This group of 41 men played a great part in the success of the landing of 836 000 men, 220000 vehicles and 725 000 tons of equipment.
