A set of brass relief plates inscribed mounted to a concrete base about 4 feet high.

The memorial remembers the crossing of the Moder Canal and thus the liberation of the town of Haguenau in March 1945 by the 141st Infantry Regiment of the 36th Infantry Division.

Technical Sergeant Morris Crain (Company E, 141st Infantry Regiment) was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for his actions crossing the Moder Canal.
