Sammies Memorial
Details:
The memorial is located at the northeast corner of the plaza on the east side of Rue Raymond Poincaré facing south. Monument The memorial features a white marble plaque with gold leaf text in French mounted on a granite stone base. It honors the "Sammies," that is, American soldiers, who served in the area during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive in September 1918.
