Captain Rex Combs Plaque

Details:

Within the church's memorial site, as you walk in the main white, front gate, there is a large obelisk to the left, which is the town's war memorial. There is a plaque near the bottom that commemorates CPT Combs and the 508th PIR.  Plaque The plaque commemorates and thanks CPT Rex Combs and the 508th PIR for liberating the town of Chef-du-Pont in the Normandy Invasion. The plaque is black with gold lettering.
