Lieler Liberation Monument

Located in the center of Place Griffin.  Monument This stone stele with a stone plaque commemorates the 712th Tank Battalion of the 90th Infantry Division for liberating the town of Lieler, Luxembourg on 26 January 1945. It also commemorates the 28th and 8th Infantry Divisions who moved through the area in 1944.
