Warren Alexander McKeon was born in September 1887 in California. He was reared at Yankee Jims, Placer County, California, volunteered for the service, making several attempts before he succeeded, having been turned down on account of physical deficiencies. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company L, 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on July 18, 1918 and is now buried in Oise-Aisne American Cemetery, Seringes-et- Nesles, France.
