Vaughn Rendell was born February 13,1896. He was the eldest child and only son of Ernest and Insa Day (Stokes) Harris. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Corporal in Company F, 28th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. Harris was killed in action in the battle of Soissons, France on July 19, 1918 and is now buried in Riverside Cemetery, Monticello, Wright County, Minnesota, USA.
