When Arthur S. Vincelet was born on November 10, 1893, in California, his father, joseph, was 35 and his mother, caroline, was 24. He had two brothers and four sisters. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company F, 28th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on July 20, 1918 (at the age of 24) and is now buried in Lodi Memorial Cemetery, Lodi, San Joaquin County, California, USA. His surname is inscribed on the Buzancy monument as Vincelot.
