When Henry Thomas Sprinkle was born on August 30, 1891, in Jacksonville, Florida, his father, Henry, was 39 and his mother, Mary, was 39. He married Sylvia Ford on July 17, 1917. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company I, 28th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He died from his wounds received in battle on July 23, 1918 (at the age of 26) in France and is now buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Arlington County, Virginia, USA.
