Harold Kuliffay was born in 1922 in Ohio. He was the son of Steve and Elizabeth Korteles Kuliffay. He enlisted in April 1942 and served in Co. B, 551st Parachute Infantry Bn. (1943-1944). He was transferred in early 1944 to Co. G, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division and was Killed in Action in Basse-Bodeux, Belgium area on January 3, 1945. He is now buried in Ardennes American Cemetery and Memorial, Neuville-en-Condroz, Arrondissement de Liège, Liège, Belgium.
