When Sheldon C. Leininger was born on September 15, 1922, his father, Clinton, was 33 and his mother, Minnie, was 34. He had four brothers and one sister. Heserved in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in the 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division. He was Killed in Action on December 21, 1944 in Belgium and is now buried in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, USA.
