When Harold L. Lewton was born on August 23, 1915, in Canton, Ohio, his father, Fred, was 26 and his mother, Mary, was 26. He had one brother. He enlisted in the Army on November 12, 1941 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Corporal in R/HQ Company, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division. He was Killed in Action on January 3, 1945 and is now buried in Sandy Valley Cemetery, Waynesburg, Ohio, USA.
